Hi,
fiddling with restore & noticed, on my backup HD or D drive, that for some unknown reason I had a restore usage setting of 23% & current usage of 80GB - even tho the System Protection is set to Off
I do not remember doing this (would never set it to 23%). Couple years ago I moved the OS to a SSD & kept the original HD for backup purposes. Of course formatted the old HD to remove any instance of the old OS.
1) If System Protection is turned Off for the backup drive why would Restore be using any space?
2) Would restore have been automatically enabled on the secondary HD for any reason? I do use Windows Backup & place the backups on the secondary HD. Does Windows Backup require System Restore?
Thanks
