I need a new computer. Badly. My old iMac, which I'm using to write this now, has seen better days. My Windows machines, strewn across the house, are old and tired. But I'm unwilling to buy a new computer today. It's not that I haven't seen machines that I really would like to have or I don't have a desire to build my own. But there's a single factor that's forcing me to wait: Windows 7.
I'm done with buying Macs for a while. I really do love my iMac and my MacBook is my trusty companion when I travel, but after using Windows 7, I now know that I'm ready o jump back into the world of Windows. In my testing, Windows 7 isn't just an outstanding operating system that provided an ideal experience, but it's also a great alternative to Mac OS X. I find it superior to Apple's software on almost every level. It's that good.
I feel for the guy. Three groups you should never p*ss off: Scientologists, cat lovers, and Mac Heads. (well, there's another group..but I don't want to p*ss THEM off)

Amen Brutha - I pissed one of the (unmentionable) group off, and lost the house, half the retirement, half the savings, the dog....
Though I have to say that, after reading the responses to the original article, that I deeply - deeply - mourn that actual debating skills are no longer regularly taught in US schools. (It Huurrrtssss ussssss, my preciousssss. Hurrrrtsss Usss, it doessss!!) Makes me miss the days when you actually had to study some and know a bit about computers in order to successfully use one. While I agree that anyone should be able to use a computer, having successfully implemented that means that... anyone... can use a computer.
What we need is to resurrect George Carlin. Then clone him and have him argue with himself. Now *THAT* would be entertaining!
