Why Intel bought McAfee

I would agree with Bear on this, that the McAfee purchase was a good one. It may have come down to which product would work best converted into running on the hardware, although I'd guess price had a lot to do with it. McAfee's software *used* to be very good, and if they focus on writing specifically for vPro and stop worrying about trying to do everything on Windows, I have no doubts that it would work fine. However, if they try to be dual-brained, I'm not sure that'll end up so well. Only time will tell, I suppose.
