Why is my memory suddenly occupied?

Hey guys uuh soo I have a new problem here :huh:

Yesterday I was almost entirely positively sure i had 9,87 GB of free memory

but now I have 1,87 GB free? My trash bin is empty... So how do you explain this? I barely even used my computer today too.

What could be happening?

Also, is there a way to see like, a list of things that recently occupied space on my PC?

I even cleaned up a lot of memory yesterday so this is weird . If you guys could help that'd be great

I'm sorry but are you talking about RAM or Hard-drive space?

To see RAM usage, either right click taskbar -> click task manager(third from bottom) -> click on performance tab inside the task manager. Or click windows key and search for resource monitor and click the memory tab within.

To see Hard-drive space, either click the windows explorer icon on the taskbar -> on the left click my computer!

I mean the hard-drive space, it says 1,26gb free

I've personally never used it though so read up and post images if you need further help identifying items someone here might be able to help

I would also recommend going to the Avast Forum and do a search.
Avast has been known to cause this problem of using up hard drive space with restore points percent changes.
