Why is so much of my ram being used?

I have 4 gigs of ram and for some reason 2 gigs are being used for no reason im not running any programs but chrome and utorrent i don't get it i used AVG to lower the start up programs but since then i have been using 2 gigs for no reason any ideas on how to fix this? Im running win 7 64 bit home premium.

Hi, that usage is not that unusual, a bit high perhaps but memory is hancled better with Win7 than ever before.
If you can post some screenshots of task managers pages, we may be able to trim some off.
