Hi,
When i was surfing i heard strange noise and monitor behaved strangely. It gets a stretched look and when it is booted the next time, the Starting windows screen appears not at the centre of screen, but to the right of the screen. This is the position now.
I tried reset on on monitor settings, degauss etc, but the problem persists. When i reboot the resolution auto changes to 800x600 from normal 1024x768.
I tried to rollback the drivers and the problem persists.I have downloaded prince of persia game, which i uninstalled the folder after this problem . System restore works in safe mode and i tried that also.
Why the displacement of starting windows and other things .
I tried to update drivers using intel update utility , but that gives no helping solution. It said no driver available for your system.
How to workaround. I have seen ms config to see whether base video is checked. It was unchecked.
How could monitor self change the resolution ?

It sounds like your monitor broke (the strange noise). It might not be showing the right resolution because it is broken.

Hi, Mellon, You are correct. The monitor smelt bad and i disconnected .
I do not use that. I bought a new led monitor and the problem solved. I had also disposed it , as somebody would have tried in my absence.
It was a wonderful monitor which lasted without any problem in 14 years. LG 700E.
Now the problem is , this led monitor is 22 inch and big. It supports 1920x1080, where as my system only ha 1280x1024 and also in advanced settings do not have any herts , instead has use hardware default settings in the herz tab. My driver shows as vga adapter, and windows shows that it is the best driver for it.how to work around it. If i check drivers update utility by intel, it shows no drivers available for this product.
