Hell khresna and welcome to Seven Forums.

What security product(s) were on your computer before you bought KIS 2013? Did you completely remove those products using the official vendor uninstall tool before trying to install KIS 2013? Many times the Windows 7 > Control Panel > Programs and Features uninstall option leaves behind bits and pieces in the registry. These remnants could prevent a clean install of a new security product.

Singular Labs has put together a list of official security uninstallers. First read the information file and then use the uninstall tool(s) for any security product that might have been on your computer in the past. After running an uninstall tool make sure to restart your computer before using any additional tool(s).

Security Software | SingularLabs

If this doesn't allow you to install KIS 2013, I'd try using a restore point to roll back your machine to a date/time prior to your first attempt to install KIS 2013. Use the official uninstaller(s) to remove whatever security product is/was on your machine. Then try installing KIS 2013.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

There's also a possibility that your machine might be infected with malware that your current security product did not detect. (No security product is 100% effective 100% of the time. If there was such a thing we'd all be using it.) This malware may be preventing you from installing KIS 2013. I'd run some on-demand scanners (one at a time!) just to double-check my computer. The more scanners you run the greater the probability your computer is not infected. These free products are often recommended.

Windows Defender Offline

Malwarebytes

ESET Online Scanner

SuperAntispyware

HitmanPro

Please post back if any of this helped or not.

You may also need to run Kaspersky as Administrator. Right click the file and choose "Run as Administrator" from the dropdown box.

Hiyya K mate how did you load it from a disk or from the net?

Personally I have found from a CD is well pretty hopeless - in my experience - if you know your activation code best download it from Kaspersky and if you have to activate it later.

But you must do some scanning for other AV stuff or malware before you do, Kaspersky generally does not like other AV's except the on call ones.

If you do get it on I could run through a really good configuration with you if you want to:)

Dude,

I upgraded from KIS2012 to KIS2013, my problem was KIS not starting when rebooting or starting my PC for the first time.

In google type KIS 2013 wont start, from the links find the kav uninstaller and the fix window setup state reg file, download them to your hdd

This is what u do...

Start PC,
Turn off internet (in otherwords disable your network card)
Turn off all your Antivirus/Firewall, Spyware, Adware (Open task manager, end task on the exe's), stop any background processes
Once everything is shut down and you know you dont have anything running in the background
Goto windows unistall remove programs if you have any KIS product uninstall it from there.
It will ask you to reboot, dont reboot, now run the Kav remover, dont reboot, then run/merge the windows state reg file.
Now reboot.
Once pc restarts, keep internet disabled/again in task manager stop everything
Now install Kis2013
Once installed turn on network card and update/activate KIS2013. should work fine.
You now can reboot, after reboot KIS2013 and all your other programs should work fine, you may get alerts stating you have new startup entries which will be KIS2013, accept them.. thanks it all done...

By the way, the best way to install & Uninstall software/programs/games is keep network card off, stop all programs running then install or uninstall product, this is to ensure nothing conflicts with the installation or uninstallation process....

Yeah well rakesh an even easier way to uninstall is go to All programs click on Kaspersky and use the inbuilt uninstaller.
If you are going to reinstall it best to download to downloads (save) first (I keep an icon on my desktop) after you have rebooted from the uninstall just reinstall from the Download save.

When that is done re activate - trial or your code - you can always use the code later if you want - and when that is done run updates - you can configure it while doing that.
When updates are finished - reboot and when logged in click on the desktop gadget or the K anywhere - in the GUI click on support and it should show the Application version 13.0.1.4190 (c).

I have done this many times and believe me it is the easiest way.

OP if you want a really good config PM me:)
