Why Would Right-Shift Key Stop Working in Just One Program?

Hello all,

Have a weird problem, my right-shift key stopped working in one of my programs. All of the other programs it still works fine.

I am not sure what I did to cause this...In my winxp virtualbox vm the program still works fine so I think something in Win7 is set wrong but I don't know what has happened..

Would there be any reason a key would stop working just for one program only?

Did you make any system changes, apply updates, install new programs, etc. just before the problem started?

What program has this problem?

Is there anything in the configuration options or Help for this program that might explain this?
Do you have a restore point or backup image from before the problem started that you can restore?
Can you uninstall/reinstall this program?

Lols considering his name has to do with redstone.... The rigt shift key is not working in minecraft for him...... Ummm hmmmm


Try and see if the right shift key works in the browser version of minecraft......


If that doesnt work try backing up your worlds and re downloading minecraft...


If none of those work check your minecraft controls config file... Located in %appdata%/minefraft/(somewhere in here....)
Yeah look for a config file and check out what right shift might be set to.......

Well I think I installed PC WIZARD but I can't think of anything else I installed just prior to it happening.

What program has this problem?

Visual Pinball (sorry it's not minecraft haha)

Not that I can think of...It really has me stumped. The right-shift key works everywhere else..just stopped working for this one program..so weird.

Unfortunately no, but I really didn't do any major system changes prior to this happening.

Can you uninstall/reinstall this program?

Yes and I did that...even went into the registry and made sure all traces disappeared when I uninstalled. Then I reinstalled fresh... but same thing with the key not working...As I mentioned I fired up VirtualBox and ran the same program under XP and it works fine..

Something has to be blocking this key in this program...Is there anything in the registry I can check or some utility to see where the key presses are going? It sounds like something filterkeys would do but I made sure that is turned off.
