Hello all,

I have an issue with Windows update on one of the machines where I work. I was told that the machine would keep trying to install updates overnight and when the employee would come in the morning, the computer would try to finish the updates, but then either seem to lock up in the middle and sit there forever until he would do a hard reset, or it would look like its going to complete, then suddenly say it failed and is reverting changes.

Unfortunately I dont have any of the Windows Update errors down at the moment, but I have followed the other instructions and have done some things myself. Ive got the CBS folder, plus all the logs collected by the DM Log Collector tool for the BSOD forum which includes Event Viewer logs. Hopefully this will be able to tell you something.

I ran SURT twice. Both times it installed a hotfix and ended there. Didnt offer any logs, reports or anything that I noticed. Unfortunately as its the weekend, Ill have to try this on Tuesday before Ill be able to get any more data.
