I got a DVI to HDMI cable a few days ago and used my TV as a duplicated monitor. It worked fine, except the resolution didnt fit a tad of the screen on the left. I unplugged the HDMI side of the cord and plugged in my Xbox HDMI, I played on the Xbox for a while, and decieded to get on my PC. I plugged the HDMI cable back in, and the resolution is really messed up. I tried all the resolutions, they all were too big or small. I even unplugged my normal monitor and still, none of them were right. Any way to add a resolution or something?

I can't change my TV's resolution. I tried turning it off and plugging it in buy same results. Heres the pictures of what they look like

I'm not sure but wouldn't you set the TV to a matching resolution of the PC output, not try to make the PC video card match the TV?

Could be when you first connected it the TV changed its resolution to match the PC and then when you disconnected it to connect something else and then reconnected to PC to the TV it got lost.

Have you tried turning the TV off when you change devices?

What happens if you change the "Multiple Displays" setting to something other than "Duplicate these Displays"?

Then they both gain their own sets of resolutions, but still, none of them work
