i left my comp on and when i came back the switch user screen was up i didnt log off or try to switch user where can i set not to do such?

It would be under power options in the control panel.

on the left side click require a password on wakeup and turn the feature off.

i didnt change anything to make this happen and i didnt see any such thing

You are telling me the setting doesn't exist on your system?

That would indicate a third party power management to me.
Which I can't really comment on.
I'm using pro right now at default installation settings that item should appear.

...it is also the default setting, so you wouldn't have had to put it that way.
