wifi between two pcs

ok guys since i cant get bluetooth connection between two pcs.my laptop has wifi so if i put another pci e wifi card into my desktop can i be able to transfer file sthen.my net is also on wifi would that be interrupted or my desktop appears as a seperate network and theres no interfernece in internet on my laptop along with that i can tranfer files from my desktop wifi to my lappy
plz suggest thanks alot
in advance any help appreciated

Ok i misread your first post, you want a wireless card for your desktop. you could get one but i would get a wireless router instead.
