Wiimote on 64 bit systems?

Was anyone able to setup a wiimote with Win7 x64?

Here is where I'm at:

First time I put the wiimote in discovery mode, added a bluetooth device without
pairing code.

Started Dolphin, wiimote was recognized and used, IR and buttons and stuff working
properly.

I quit Dolphin and turned off the wiimote. I wasn't able to properly reconnect ever
since.

Restarted my pc, removed and readded the HID, several times.

Dolphin kinda recognizes the controller: makes it shake in the setup menu and says
that it's connected to 1 device. But nothing actually works: no movement, no
buttons, nothing.

WiinRemote doesn't receive any data, all meters stay at 0, so if I turn on cursor
mode, the cursor jumps to the top left corner.

SmoothBoard (re)installs the drivers automatically, "learns" the connected wiimotes,
everything looks ok during startup. But when it comes to actually do stuff, I get an
"error reading data" message.

All in all it seems that now applications can detect a wiimote but can't read data
from it.

Any suggestions?

Most users have XP 32bit systems (prolly those robo fighters as well :) , so all the tips
and tricks working for them are kinda irrelevant on win7x64. :\

I tried a bluetooth stack called BlueSoleil and everything started to work. It costs 22 EUR.

I tried a bluetooth stack called BlueSoleil and everything started to work. It costs 22 EUR.

Unfortunately not everybody is comfortable installing BlueSoleil bloatware on their PCs. Last time I tried it (a loooong while ago, I admit), it was very shaky software. Not to mention that the more expensive and good dongles are made with Broadcom chipsets, which doesn't work with BlueSoleil.

That's pretty awesome.

I wouldn't mind being able to run a Wii emulation, as our families Wii counsel is back home in Missouri. :*(

Yeah, I heard bad things about BlueSoleil too. However this version with this OS works
just fine.

It doesn't start all kind of services and while its memory consumption of 50Mb might be
too high for the task, I can live with it.

As for the usability, it's better than the original stack. I can actually pick how the
headphones are connected (handsfree vs stereo) so it's not seemingly random like
with the MS stack.
The audio lag went down from 200ms to 100ms for some reason.

So I'm happy with it so far. As soon as I get problems, I'm gonna post them here. :)

Oh, one thing: after registration it keeps "activating" itself over the net. It's okay
once, but for every day... So I banned it from accessing the net and it still works.
