Hello and welcome to the forums, stephen316.

I have serious doubts that that particular PSU of yours would be able to handle the power requirements of the GTX 680.

From what I've read, It is a budget PSU that is not even Gold Certified or able to deliver the proper amperage for a beast of a card like the GTX 680.

680W G7 Power Extreme ATX PSU : PC Power Supplies : Maplin Electronics

Check out this thread from sevenforums, where another user in your situation literally blew his graphics card away when attempting to run his GTX 480 (another high end card from NVIDIA) on that PSU:-

http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/170880-gpu-killed-my-psu.html

Have a look at something like this for a quality PSU capable of driving the GTX 680:-

Newegg.com - CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 (CMPSU-650HX) 650W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Thanks for reading.

Solarmistic is correct. Your system lists a 300W PSU. The recommended PSU for a 680 is 550W. I seriously doubt your PSU would run it and if it did you would be headed for serious problems, as she pointed out. If it were mine, I would be looking for a 750W PSU. It will run cooler, not be in a strain, last longer and allow for upgrades later on. I always recommend Corsair, Seasonic and Antec PSU's. If you look at my System Specs, you will see I am running a 670 with a Corsair HX850.

Sort of a postscript: the GTX 680 is a high-end card, but it has two 6 pin PCI-E power connectors, so its maximum draw is less than 225W. That's a lot, but some cards have one 6 pin and one 8 pin, and consume close to the design limit for that (300W).
