Will AMD Store MI Work on Windows 7?

I am upgrading my computer, and was thinking about making a dual boot system, with both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

The motherboard I am buying, supports AMD 2700X and also Windows 7. It has AMD Store MI support too.

I was wondering if on a dual boot system, if AMD Store MI would work under Windows 7 or I would lose access to the drive that it is working on, just not appear as a system drive?

By the way, I was planning to use Store MI on a non-boot drive with games on it, to make the games run faster.

Having read the online documentation I was left with an impression that Store MI solely depended on the processor features, and not anything else. That could indicate that Store MI may install on Windows 7.

Try it, if you can get your processor to work with Windows 7, then maybe Store MI would work too. Only snag is, since AMD officially only support Ryzen processors with Windows 10, then AMD could be assuming you will install Store MI onto a Windows 10 system. In which case there is a chance Store MI wont work with Windows 7.

If the solution does not work, then try ReadyBoost - Setup and Use | Seven Forums as than works on all processors, and Windows 7. It is an older technology, but has the same idea of using solid state disk cache for hard disk drives.
