I want to buy Dell Inspiron n7110 and the specs are :
I7 2630qm, Ram 4GB, HD 500 GB,Nvidia 525m 1GB is it enought for gaming and enought in using more than program in the same time ?
Will i find a deffirence betwene I7 2630 qmand 2670 qm ?
and Will I find a difference betwene I5 2.3 2nd genration and dual core 2.4 ?

yes yes and yes.

an intel i7 processor will beat any AMD offering.
and a core i5 will blitz any normal dual core cpu.

gaming on a laptop isnt great unless you purchase one with a very fast dedicated GPU. expect it to play some games, but not the likes of bf3 and such, if it does minimum settings all round.

The i-7 2630qm and 2670qm are both quite strong processors, but not a lot of difference between them--less than 10% in a typical benchmark. I'm sure they would handle multiple programs assuming you had no RAM issues.

What particular i-5 2.3 and dual core 2.4 are you referring to?

Okay first off I would never reccomend any laptop for gaming, they simply can't move air through the tiny boxes fast enough to keep good gaming components cool. (as they are sometimes stressed for many hours on end.)

That being said I wouldn't expect an enormous difference between the two i7 chips. I have to wonder why they don't just use a 2600 in them. It's a higher core clock, basically the same temperatures and a 100 dollars less money.


As for the last one, the i5 will be faster, It will be as much because of the new motherboard and ram involved than anything else though. Unless the dual core is actually a socket 1155 as well. Then the difference will be much less noticeable.

I have found no brand comparison, that simplified to be true. I've seen lemons and good laptops from all three. Acer actually makes some decent products for good money.

The 2760 is about 18% faster in a broadly-based benchmark.

You may or may not notice that difference, depending on what you are doing.
