WMC will be supported in Win7 until 2019. In exactly the same way as it currntly is...

ONLY security updates will be considrred unless you have a support contract with MS.

And then they added SP1 which takes to ten years after than was released. That is why they won't do any more service packs, they know they will have to support SP2 for longer..........

Windows 7 support will END (full stop) at the end of 2019.
OPERATING systems (since Vista - they changed the rules in 2010 to support Home versions for more than 5 years) have been supported for 10 years since release - individual Service Packs are supported for only 2 years after the release of a later Pack (and for this purpose, RTM counts as a 'Service Pack 0').

The actual date for Win 7's EOL is slightly past the end of 2019; 01/14/2020 to be exact.
