My Secondary HDD is 600 GB HDD by WDC and was GPT.
DiskPart now sees this as MBR and is unable to revert.
I had used Windows Disk Management and changed its status from Online to Offline to write protect the 500 GB of data for future recovery.
Has this set the internal controller within the HDD to protect from writing by any other operating system until a manual change of status from Offline back to Online ?
Or is this state only a registry setting within this installation of Windows 7 ?
Do I need to disconnect identify and disconnect the relevant SATA and power cables ?
Regards
Alan
