Will My PC be able to handle Battlefield 3 Flawlessly without Lagg?

i dont know if my pc will be able to handle battlefield 3 and max graphic without any lagg.
Spec
Processor i7 920 2.8ghz (prolly will overclock to 3.2ghz)
Video Card Dual Ati Radeon 5970s
Memory: 6gb of ram
Hardrive: 1.15 terabyte.
tell me if im missing anything

You'll run it easily but only in Direct X 10 though... because I believe Direct X 11 is only for the AMD 6000 series (Not too familiar with AMD video cards).
People are freaking out way too much over the system requirement for this game. My bro runs Deux Ex : Human Revolution with a Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz and GeForce GTX260 (@ Med settings and there's no lag) and the requirements for BF3 are similar to the game I just mentionned. Don't even worry about it.

Dude you have OVERKILL lol it will run like it should is your ISP up to Par that is what you should be asking cause Ping is a mother on those type of games

In short, you should be just fine.


Its also worth considering its a multiplatform game.
Meaning its available on not only the PC, but Xbox360 and PS3 as well.

Being as the 360 and PS3 are weaker than a Mid-Range gaming PC, the game must be able to run on those consoles.

Although the PC version may have extra graphical options to make it look better, the bottom line is, those of us who are PC gamers shouldn't fool ourselves.
A large majority of these cross platform games are devolped with consoles in mind primarily, and then ported to PC.

The big question will be how well was the port done, and how well was it optimized for PC.
Provided the port is done well, running a 360 game on the PC well doesn't take much.
My guess is your setup should be able to run the game well above Med. settings

I just got back from the future and can confirm you'll be mostly fine. You may have to adjust your definition of 'max' though.


Your biggest worry will be CF/driver support.

As it stands I'm pretty sure that BF3 was built with PC as it's primary platform, it doesn't support DX11 as far as I can tell, and to be fair I don't care it still looks better then Crysis, but I doubt it will be a system hog like Crysis I do have to overclock my Video Card (click "my system specs") to play the damn game with full AA at 1080p that game is insane in system requirements, but since then nothing has been so demanding and nothing will for a good 3 years or so, I believe that your system will be able to play the game at 60 FPS without any problem (might not be a launch, as an example Dead Island was bugged as hell... still is... they'll fix it at some point)
