Will not boot

Hi
I would appreciate help at dummy level please.
I tried to re-install windows 7. It goes so far and fails to install. Since then when I try to boot, it gets to a page where it asks which I want to boot from, windows 7 or setup, with set up selected. It lasts one second and tries Set up and fails. I have tried clicking on Windows 7 but the keyboard isn't recognised, even tried a P2 keyboard.
I have tried two "Boot Up" disks but each require a keyboard input which I haven't got.
Any help appreciated

Did you make a System Repair Disk?

If not, make one now.

With a system repair disk, the possible recommendations increases.

A question: Why do you want to reinstall Win 7?
Is there a problem? Perhaps we can address the problem-we don't want to throw the baby out with the dirty water.

Thanks for your replies. Yes I have a system repair disk, makes no difference, tried "super boot CD", nothing, tried "Monster PC engineers toolkit DVD" nothing, tried Windows 7 ulimate disk nothing.

I went for the re-install because it was playing up, anything from crashing, blue screen etc. Tried several anti-virus without success so I thought a re-install would solve it. Silly me.

Thank you for your help.
Problem solved, it was defaulting to P2 keyboard and one of the pins in the plug was bent over.
All working now.
