will old windows partition still have all files and programs

My windows had stopped working and needed to be reinstalled. I clicked on custom to reinstall windows wanting to just overwrite it and keep all my files and programs. I cant reinstall windows on the OS_Install partition due to not enough space. I don't want to reformat because i wasn't able to back up everything. I was hoping I wouldn't have to, but since I cant install window 7 on that partition and I can on my Data partition I was wondering if I could still access everything that was on the other one where the windows isn't working? Or am i gonna have to wipe it all and start fresh?

After backing up everything you should be deleting all partitions during the booted reinstall.
