What is the best combination of 4TB Drive(s) with an enclosure???

Okay so I was looking into buying 1-4 External HDD's online AND an enclosure and I came across the items below:

So what would be the best combination with the items I listed??? OR can you specify some better products with the parameters below:

1. Drive must have 4TB storage
2. Enclosure must be able to handle Greater than or equal to 2 drives (preferably 3 or more)
3. Price must be reasonable not like 1000$ or something ridiculous... Max $300 per drive and $300 for the enclosure (I would prefer cheaper than this obviously lol)
4. Must be out already or be coming out soon
5. USB 3.0 or greater drives and enclosures
6. If it is RAID I would like RAID 0,1, or 10...RAID 1 and 10 adds data loss security... So idk... If disk fails happen then I guess RAID 1 or 10 would be my first choice than no RAID or RAID 0...

The WD Greens would be a poor choice for use in the Icy Dock because they spin down when not being read from or written to, which could break the RAID. The WD Reds were designed for this kind of use and would be a much better choice.

This from Western Digital's website:

Desktop drives are not recommended for use in RAID environments, please consider using WD Red hard drives for home and small office 1-5 bay NAS systems and WD Enterprise hard drives for rackmount and >5 bay NAS systems.

The enclosure you linked to only allows up to 3TB per bay and I'd want 4TB drives... =(

What does this mean exactly? "*For recognizing multiple separate HDDs (Non-RAID) with eSATA port, SATA multiplier is required". Also does it mean that this HDD enclosure uses RAID normally without the cable? If so what type of RAID?

I took a look at the manual and apparently it doesn't mention anywhere about RAID... So I am going to have to assume it has RAID but idk what type... Is there maybe another drive enclosure you or someone else can recommend that has full details on RAID etc...???

Kinda... but I have been sitting here for two hours and I have to say it is difficult to find a lot of different 16TB drive enclosures capable of having 4x4Tb drives... Although I did find this here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178330 and they do have a 0TB version (no drives pre-installed) which would probably be good! What do you think?

Yeah I was going to link you too it... It does hold 4TB drives because it actually advertises it on there website... But yeah what do you think? Should I get the enclosure with the drives or without?

Personally I'd buy separate drives so if one is defective it can be returned instead of the whole NAS.

Yeah I know... but they would be tested so if one was defective I would sure hope it would be found out about at the manufacturer... but yeah I know what you mean, plus I can then pick the ones I want too... Hmmm... Whatever I won't need to make this decision for a month or two until I have enough saved up for it ,since it costs more than I thought, so yeah thank you!

Don't count on it. Plus, many HDDs get damaged in transit by brutal carriers.

You got me worried now because I just ordered 3 things online...... I also have to return an item I just ordered because it doesn't work lol....
