Hi all! I have a fairly easy question! I was wondering if this XFX nForce 750a SLI Socket AM2 MOBO will work with this CPU AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8Ghz AM3? I hope it will. As to the fact that I already purchased it and it's on it's way as we speak. So please! Give me some good news for once. Because I am getting tired of not have my computer up and running. Thank you in advance.

Yea it should work, it might be downclocked in certain areas (not in CPU speed) as AM2 is slower than AM3, obviously, but it'll work fine still.

Great! I was getting a little nervous. I was thinking that it would be fine. But wanted another opinion. I mean I know quite a bit about building them, but wanted to be sure.

Also! I know this off my original topic. But I was wondering if my 2 xfx gforce 9600 GSO's would max out the 2 8x pci-e slots on the xfx board? Thanks for the info in advance.
