I have an emachines W5233 computer, and want to upgrade my motherboard. here are my computer specs:
eMachines Official Site - - W5233 Product Details

I'm looking to get this motherboard:
ECS P55H-CM (V1.0) Motherboard w/ Intel Core i3 530 Processor w/ Fan Bundle at TigerDirect.com

Will this fit in my current W5233 case, and will my components transfer to it for example my realtek sound card, and nividia 8600 gt video card.

One last bit of info, my current motherboard I want to upgrade is:
ECS 945GCT-M3

ace1, welcome to the seven Forums.

As long as Emachines didn't have the original board made to the mATX standard, then it should just be a matter of removing the old and installing the new. Here are the specs for the current ECS board,

ECS Web Site

If you look the dimensions for both are 244 mm x 244 mm.

I just did a couple upgrades for a few customers and had to get a reset switch and put in the front of the case plus a speaker for the motherboard bios beep if needed and rewire the start switch for the header on the new motherboard which is not that hard if your familiar with motherboard wring like the reset, start, PLED, IDE etc.

I ended up buying a barebone pc kit, only about $50 more. Thanks for all the help.
