Will TrueCrypt work on Windows 7 Starter?

Hello everyone,

I have a Windows 7 Starter machine, and I would like to use TrueCrypt to create a virtual encrypted drive. But, I am worried that it won't work because I hear Windows 7 Starter does not support EFS (encrypting file system). Would TrueCrypt work on Windows 7 Starter?

You were most likely thinking about bitlocker which is a Microsoft technology that is only available in ultimate and enterprise editions.

Trucrypt is a third party program and therefore would not have this limitation.
