Solved will Turkish hardware work in England

Hi, i need some advice on a small problem. My brother is moving back to the Uk from Turkey. He is asking me if his TPLink ADSL wireless router. TD-W8951ND.
An Airties wireless router model 5452 and Dream multi media box DM 500S will work in the United Kingdom. He wants to bring them home as they are still boxed and have never been used. Can anyone advise one way or another. Thanks in advance

Does Turkey use the same power plugs and standards as the UK?

Thanks for the quick reply. I Googled the voltage in Turkey and its 220 volts, 50 Hz Here its 240 volts. When i go on holiday to spain its the same. My appliances work. The plugs in Turkey are round pins where as in the UK are flat. But all thats needed for my trips are socket adaptors. Is there a difference with say routers for a specific Country, or are they made to work for that region only like dvd players?

Never heard a router being region locked...the only difference I would imagine is power, plugs and voltage.

Any of the UK visitor travel adapters should do the job.

The mains voltage and frequency is more or less the same in both countries so there's no reason why the equipment shouldn't work in the UK.

The basic routing function of the device should not be a problem as the Ethernet standard is world wide.

There is a possible issue however with the wireless functionality.

There are various world regions which use slightly different frequencies to provide the various channels available when setting up the wireless network US and UK systems are I know not always compatible.

you should be OK with Turkey as it is a European country but I cannot state for sure, as some US equipment is available there, I believe
