Solved Win 7 64bit: bootrec issue and bsod XP disk

Hi, Was in an infinite 'auto repair fail' loop on my laptop. I tried an MBR fix before I tried the bootrec solution, now its saying drive is inaccessible use install disk to repair. The problem is I Have the Toshiba Recovery disk; that would erase everything which I'm trying to avoid, and there is no way that I know to access Bootrec.exe from these disk. I have a A Win XP disk but that gives a BSOD when it boots. Any help will be appreciated 'cause I'm typing this from
a Linux live CD. thanks
