Good morning well I checked the bios and I did have allow usb to wake even had wake on lan on. The pc still will not wake up and tried every update every bios setting. I have a new monitor on the way that will plug into the HDMI on the board and I will take out the vid card. Maybe the driver that I downloaded (64bit ) just causing the problems. If you have any other things for me to check that would be great!
Have a Great Day
Well here is the skinny! Last night when I got home ups had dropped off a new Samsung LED monitor that I had ordered 3 weeks ago. After the install found drivers for 64 bit win 7 and added them to system. The good news is
it woke up with no problem. So it seems that my Viewsonic lcd monitor I use when I am building a new machine
was the problem. Even though I downloaded driver for win 7 64 I guess they did not work! And by the way when I
pushed the power button like you said it would just re boot.
Thank you for your help and I hope other people reading this check the monitor they are using.

Good to hear that your problem is solved (I'm sorry that I wasn't able to provide you with any useful help).
If you think it is fixed, you should mark the thread as "Solved".
I would never have guessed that the monitor/video driver was responsible.
I find it fascinating how so called standardised PC components/software, behave differently on different PCs.
I must admit that I was surprised that my PC wakes up from Sleep, if I push the power switch momentarily.
When it's running, pushing the power switch starts the Shutdown procedure (as per my Power Options setting).

You must have done it without realising or maybe one of the Admins dropped by and did it for you.
In the forum thread list, you can see that this thread has a green tick mark (indicating it has been solved).
There is also a green tick at the top of this page.
