I'm looking to setup a separate partition to install Win server 2008 for experimental purposes. I will be using VMware ESX to run server...anyone know if 7 has a boot manager or how to install one so that I can utilize the new partition?

Hello.

I would suggest the use of the Windows System Reserved partition to contain the "System" boot files, this way is very easy to add or remove a second or third OS to a multi boot setup, have a look at this tutorial at the link below for some ideas and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.
