Win 7 can't locate hard drive in system restore, can't load login

After power failure my Windows 7 can't load login screen. I have a custom dual boot machine with Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7. Ubuntu loads fine and I can access files for Windows 7 through it; however, when I try to log in to Windows, it refuses to load. I tried all kinds of things that I was able to Google about this, but no success. The problem is that Windows doesn't present any operating system to choose when I try to run "startup repair" so I cannot run "sfc /scanf" or any other restore command since the harddrive is not recognized. But I know that it's not the problem with HD or its connection to the motherboard since I can still access Window files through Linux, so I'm really lost at what to do now to fix this boot problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The problem is that on step 3 of the "MBR tutorial" where is says "Select an operating system to repair" under the System Recovery Options. It doesn't recognize my operating system, so there is nothing listed there for me to choose to "repair".

Do you have a proper Windows 7 installation DVD to work with?

If it was my computer the next thing I would try is this and see how it goes.
I personally have never use these tutorials because I have never had to.
That being said; I do trust the Forums Tutorials and that is the reason I suggested them.

Yes, I tried the above steps before and the result was the same, ie when it asks to choose the OS to repair, there is nothing listed there for me to select. I went ahead and repeated the steps again so I could get you the exact error message that I am presented with if I still click next and try to run system repair anyway. The error message is:

It looks like EasyBCD is a windows executable, so I won't be able to install it on Linux, but I installed Grub Customizer and it recognizes Windows7 loader there. Like I said previously, I can access the Windows files through Linux, but cannot login to the Windows7 HD. What I'm trying to figure out is how to make my boot to recognize the hard drive on which Windows7 is installed so it can get to login screen after the "starting windows" message. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I think Grub Customizer and EasyBCD can only reoder the boot order but not make the machine recognize the hard drive.

Let me see if I got it right, I should create a bootable USB with EasyBCD on it, restart the computer into EasyBCD. And what should I do then?
