Hello guys,

I have big problem and that is Kernel-Power 41 error. I walk through whole forum but, this problem seems to be individual.

I have notebook Acer Aspire 5920g originaly comes with Vista. I switched from Vista to Win 7 in November 2009 and everything was OK. I even had drivers that Win 7 automaticly downloaded.
2 months ago my PC started to crash - everything is suddenly frozen, this happends 3 times a day or every 5 minutes!
I downloaded all drivers what Acer have on pages for Windows 7 and newest nVidia drivers for GPU. I reinstalled whole system but nothing helped.
Problem is that windows frozes, and i dont have any minidump. Well i have one but i dont know if its related with this problem.

Thank you for any advices

The problem seems to be DirectX graphics driver (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\).

I am not a crash expert so I'm sorry to tell but that's all I can tell you. I sent a message to one of our resident minidump gurus, I'm sure Ken checks in later today and can give you a better answer.

In the mean time, here's an interesting link related to your issue: Blue screen dxgmms1.sys

This crash was caused by your video driver dxgmms1.sys before installing a fresh copy You need to completely remove all traces of the current driver and I believe there is an uninstall tool avail from the mfr. You should only install the driver and not the other things like the control panel.

Let us know if you need help
