Solved Win 7 file sharing stops working.

I leave my main computer on all the time and it seems that file sharing and home group connection stops functioning correctly after a few hours, IE the other machine is detected but can not connect. I reboot my machiens and they work fine, but I really can not reboot everytime I need to sync computers.

The main machine is Win 7 ultimate and the laptop is win 7 home premium.

Gaaa I miss Cisco network magic, never had any trouble when I could use it on all my machines....

Have you tried disabling the Hybernation on all your computers?

or....Turn off Hard disk after Idle or Never:

It seems to stop working after I put the laptop to sleep and refusing to work until I reboot the main PC, what could the problem be? Also do you know of a program I could buy that would sycn folders and files across a network but not use the default windose network? I want to avoid these issues in the future ....

There a few options out there, here's a list of free synchronization utilities.

Free Cloud storage is another option - Dropbox or OneDrive.

Dose anyone know what kind of setup Dlinks shareport uses? It works fine 0-o Tho if I use that I lose my 32GB flash drive since I will need it in the router all the time..... I managed to figure it out, they changed around the Kaspersky GUI and found out I had the network mis configured now its woring like it should....been turning them off and on and it still connects even after a few days!!
