win 7 insall question

Hello,im currentley running win 7 on the 2nd hard drive on my vista 64 bit system which is running a dream and was unsure if its possible to format the drive with 7 on to install the proper version of 7 on the same drive and carry on dual booting with vista as i dont have a vista install disc so didnt want to format the lot and lose vista o/s, any info appreciated

so if i understood it right u want to install Vista AND Seven on the same Harddrive?! ... i think it would work, but i dont know why u want to keep ur vista? my short experience with Seven: Seven is like Vista ... just Better

hi case, welcome to the forums,

i'm not sure if i've understood you correctly. are you saying you have a dual-boot vista/7 system with the os's on separate drives? and you want to reformat the 7 drive without affecting vista?

yes - that would be fine. right at the start of the 7 install you will be asked which drive/partition you want to install on. choose your current 7 drive, format, and install.

thats it in a nutshell mickey, so i can keep vista and i agree so far 7 seems a lot better, its just vista is there so why delete it i might need it if 7 throws a wobbler, thanks for the advice
