Win 7 Install Disk

From a bare start can Win 7 install disk handle partitioning and formating a SSD Disk? If not I have some other partition software I just have to decide which can handle a SSD.

I want it partitioned and formated so that I don't get the recovery partition when I install. The disk is not huge to start with.

Have a look at the info below, just skip the "clean all" if the SSD is new.

If you partition the SSD yourself, you also have to take care of the alignment. If you let Win7 install, the installer will do that. If you install from a Win7 installation disk (retail or OEM), you will not get a recovery partition.
If you have any other HDDs in the box, make sure you disconnect them during the installation. I disconnected my Vista HDD but left my data HDD connected. For some strange reason my MBR ended up in one of my data partitions. It is not a big deal but unnecessary work.
