Is the Win 7 download from technet an upgrade? That question doesn't make sense to me. What I am wondering about is after I clean install, How to go about activation. My other Install was from a retail purchased upgrade disk. Which I had no problem activating. I am trying to anticipate any problems when I install and activate.

All my Technet Subscription downloads have been full retail installs, but there is an option during install to upgrade a previous installation.

I thought tech net provides a key with its download? Can't you just use that?

You should have a key with it. You will need to type it in the boxes.

Yes keys are provided with your subscription for activation.
