Solved Win 7 issues

I have 3 different issues that all appeared 2 days ago (I updated my ATI drivers to 11.12 the same day these problems appeared, could that be the cause?).

1. Getting stuck on loading circle on my desktop + stuck on loading circle when I try to downgrade my ATI drivers.

2. I am unable to shut down my computer using the shut down button. My computer doesn't simply respond at all when clicking the button. Instead when I put my computer on sleep mode, it turns off by itself and that is how I am shutting it down at the moment.

3. Minor, but my alt+tab layout changed for some reason and now my desktop isn't showing on the alt+tab menu anymore, which is quite frustrating when playing a game for example.

What I have done:
A virus check, reboots and some searching. I have tried to downgrade my ati drivers but it isn't possible because I can't open the installer files due to getting stuck on the loading circle.


So do any of you guys know what could be the cause? Thanks.

Can you remove the driver in the "Device Manager"?
Can you boot into "Safe Mode" and uninstall the ATI driver?

You could try booting into Safe Mode or VGA mode with the F8 key. Then try un-installing your ATI drivers. If that works, then you can decide if you want to try those drivers again or go back to the previous version that worked.

You could use System Restore to go back to a point in time prior to the start of these problems.

Then carefully consider what updates you care to do from that point.

I also would try Restore Point before th4e install and get back to your original setup. Then you will have to decide if you want to try installing the drivers again.
