Hi, I have three issues with win 7 that I have been researching here on your forums. Tried alot of fix but still some problems.

I have 6gb (3x2gb) RAM installed. it only shows 4gb and it also show ram speed at 1066mhz, aswell as dualchannel and not tripplechannel (I did run some mem check in the bios options)while the box + the label on the ram says 1600mhz and it was delivered 3x2gb so I presumed it was tripple...

I have random freezes aswell, everything locks up and have to reboot. One very odd thing I notice here was that if I dont do anything it is locked forever but if I move the mouse alot for about 5 seconds it reboots without me pusing the button...
The freeze can happen at anytime but mostly when I start fallout 3 and start to mess around alot.
My cpu temp is almost steady at 41 degrees so I dont think it is cooling.

And the last not really important issue is my HDD... I bought a new sata 2.0 disc and was just thinking it would do better than 5.9 in the test. (my old sata 1 did 5.4)
So anything I can do about this? need to raid for higher or is 5.9 ok or whatever just wonder if you have any thoughts about this.

Alot of text here Im sorry about this but I thought it would be better to have all in one thread.
Thanks alot, Tommy.

I just ran CPU-Z and it did find all my 6GB of memory! Althought it is still in dual channel... how do I make them run in triple channel? (pic related)

I did swap some possitions while checking for dust or bad connections on the RAM. And my system havent crashed since. Dont know if there was some problem there...

You may have found your problem in the seating of the RAM.

Try also testing your RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic Test.

I did run 2 memory tests monday/sunday for several hours while I was at work. Didnt report any errors.
I have also been reading the mobo manual, and I am pretty sure they are in te right slots for tripple channel.
I also did boot with each individual RAM and it was no problems.

If I boot with 1 = 2GB
if I boot with 2 = 4GB
if I boot with 3 = 4GB

I did check msconfig and there was no limit there. also checked all bios settings and read the f*ing bios manual haha.
I havent been messing around in the over clock section yet though. I guess triple channel will work on 1066 mhz and 1.5v? Ah I dont know what I am doing anymore

Ok I have solved the triple channel and crash problem.

Got some help from the guys over at tomshardware. I will post here too might help someone else.

"I fixed everything! I did remove the cpu and went all sherlock holmes on the socket with my magnifier (I have a 1366 socket but the link was good anyways EXT64, thanks alot)
And I found something there so keept looking. it was like a glitch in the pattern... one pin was bent. so I took a needle and started to sort of feel around. then I just pushed it back, everything looked great so I kicked in all the parts and now I have triple channel and all 6gb is listed!"

TL;DR I Bent back mobo pin
