Hi all

I really need some help.

I bought a new laptop with OS- DOS so what i did i bought the win7 dvd and installed it. Everything was working fine then i decided to make partitions pf my HD. As i had 3 partitions c,d,e. Where i installed win7 on 'c' i decided to leave it and shrink my d and e drives.

Now when i first shrink my 'd' drive a message poped up regarding os with an option yes or no...... i dont know wht hapend to me as i did not read the message   and hit yes since pressing no would have led to no partitions at all. now after that i made several partions that message didnt pop up again.

Now i had my partitions and was working gud.

Now when i restarted my windows it got stuck at the black screen with a blinking cursor.

Wht i have tried uptill now.

1. Re-install windows
i reinstalled it and when the final restart takes place b4 win launch same problem.

2. Deleting all partitions. Leting only one partition remaning.
Unable to do that .... if i try to do it while instaling win options.... the delete option is in active for new drives as it says " win cannot be installed in this drive".

Now i am also unable to some how get into dos prompt to delete them from there...

Plz plz help.... give ur suggestions and solutions if u have been through same problem or have any info about it.:rolleyes:

Hello amr12347, welcome to Seven Forums!

If you want the option to over-write all the data on the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and you have nothing on there that you want to save then have a look at the tutorial at the link below, it'll 'remove' everything and mark the HDD as unallocated space and give you a clean slate to start over to install Windows to.
Be sure to post back with your decision or if you have further questions.

So nice of you sir ....you are still helping me..

but i have gone through different threads and found this to be quiet a popular problem as some says its due to hardware issues or hidden HD stuff like that...

Anyhow i think i will still be unable to use it as i mentioned earlier that reinstalling didnt help.... so i dont think it would make much diffrence if i use the one you refered..

anyway once again thankyou for your help sir. :D:D:D
