i purchased a compaq amd 3 months ago from wal-mart. it has windows 7 on it. i had been playing imvu on it and then my ati and video card started to fail. it says it using the current drivers for them and there are no new updates for them. needless to say my computer crashes 8 times a day and i have to go to safe mode and run system restore, then it takes 2 more hours to come back on. i've had it with windows 7.i am trying to install my wifes hard drive from her acer laptop it had windows vista on it. when i boot up it says there is a hard drive problem. is there any way to get her vista hard drive to work on my windows 7 laptop? i have no windows cd's, except for windows xp cd.

Leojr hi and welcome

Without either windows 7, or windows vista disks your options are limited. Why dont you go the Microsoft site and download a copy of vista? Your wife's computer probably has a valid license as it came with vista on it.
