Win 7 random hangups

Please help me.....
I just built a new computer:

CoolerMaster HAF 932 Case
Corsair TX Series 950w PSU
Intel Core i7 965 Extreme Edition Processor
ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 MotherBoard
OCZ Gold PC3 12800 DDR3 SDRAM 12Gb
EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition 896 Mb x 2
Western Digital 320 Gb SATA HDD x2 in RAID 1
Western Digital 1Tb SATA HDD x2 in RAID 1
WIN7 ULT. 64-bit OEM

The problem is that I can't get windows 7 to install when I try to do so the sytem hangs randomly. It will go through post and all fine but when it starts the install process it will hang at one point or another. I have tried using 1 stick of memory, 1 video card, and one DVD player with the minimal settings on the motherboard and it still hangs. I've tried installing it with a usb drive with no luck. I even tried to boot up with a live CD (Back Track, Knoppix, Ubuntu, etc.) and it won't even boot that; the sytem hangs. I tried to install windows XP and even windows 2000 but still have the same problem.
I've tried replacing the motherboard and the video cards and still have the hangup issue; the sytem freezes completely. Can anyone out there help me resolve this issue?

Try removing the RAID and use SATA controller only.

Win7 seems allergic to RAID.

Since the box won't boot and complete an install of any ver. of Windows or Linux then you're clearly chasing hardware...

I know this is a lot of work but here's what I would do, Bench build:
(Also you'll need a bootable CD of Memtest)

Remove everything from the case and through it on a table/bench. This will eliminate and possibility of a short with the build.

Now you have the PS, MB (CPU, Ram), DVD, and the Video card. Boot the box and go into CMOS and choose defaults. Now boot to the memtest cd. We want to pass all memtest runs for an hour or so. If you’re not successful then you have a serious hardware problem that you need to begin addressing with manufacturers or your supplier (Ram or MB are the first to pursue, PS is next).

Most will tell you to check for a bios upgrade and there’s nothing wrong with that advice although nothing leaving a manufacturer should prohibit you from successfully passing memtest.

Looking at your hardware, the Asus board rocks, the PS is OK, and I’ve always had compatibility issues with OCZ. So if I was switching out hardware, ram is the first place I’d go…
