Currently trying out the Scannow method but tried most of the above bar the re-install. Not an option as I'm currently using this PC for Uni. Dpn't have the time to mess around and re-install on a whim like I used to.

Any other suggestions would be great.

Edit: also forgot to say I'm currently downloading the update to try manually installing it.

Scan didn't find anything, now to wait for the download to finish.

These are the four updates that keep failing on me.

Managed to get one of them to install by

Use Fixit 50123,reboot, then fixit 50202 in normal mode, reboot, and then 50202 again in Aggressive Mode - this will clear your Update History (but not the INstalled Updates listing). See if that helps.

Updates left are:

Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2419640) - Error Code -> 8024200D
Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2345886) - Error Code -> 800B0100
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932) - Error Code -> 800B0100

Don't try and install SP1 at the same time as the other three updates.

I'd be inclined to disable all four updates, and then install them one at a time, leaving SP1 until last.

* Have you a System Restore Point created prior to any problems you are now experiencing that you could roll back to?

* Have you checked in Event Viewer ?
Start - Event Viewer - Windows Logs - System & Application.
Check for any red error messages to do with each KB problem.

* Clean out App data / local / temp.
Start - Run - type in %temp% - ok - organize - select all - organize - delete { note you may be asked to skip some - that is ok}

* With error code 0x800B0100, the actual correct fix is the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT).
Did you do this?
What is the System Update Readiness Tool?

Nope, too old a problem to go back and restore, been prolonging fixing it for far too long.

Will check and post that now.

That pretty much contains everything I've been trying, plus It kinda made sense for me to look there first anyways.

Currently re-doing the 5020 aggressive mode and trying the installs separately again.

Nope, just failed. Still nothing :/

Have you tried the Windows 7 Updates Reset tut? It worked for me when I had problems similar to yours.

Nope, no luck. Anyone else know of anything I can try? Or even some error code lists I can copy/paste to try and find the direct cause of the issues?

Error 0x80070003 crops up a lot, which this Microsoft Fixit is said to rectify this issue.

You receive a "0x80070002" or "0x80070003" error code after you download an update from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or from Windows Server Update Services

This fix applies to Windows Vista, but it may help you.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942967

Have a look here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Windows-Update-error-80070003

You may have a corrupted User Profile so you might want to consider creating a new administrator account and trying Windows Updates from there.

This fix suggests stopping automatic windows updates, and then removing the download directory.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...-windows/0d57dc7d-f629-4dac-a772-6162f075d6a9

If all else fails, re-install Windows, but we don't want to throw in the towel on this one, do we? :)
