Still getting random crashes. I have updated the BIOS, video and audio drivers. The system says all others are the best available. I'll attach the BSOD's from the most recent crashes and some other interesting clips form the event viewer. I have done memory checks with various results. Suspect this is the problem but would like to see if there is anything unusual in these BSODs.

COuld you zip the dump files and upload them. We have a guru with a true debugger that might be able to help. I will PM him this thread

I ran Windows memory check and got an error but it gives you nothing really to go on. So I ran memtest86 in thorough mode. No errors after 2 passes. I then ran the Windows memory check again and it showed no errors. I booted back into windows but still experienced BSODs.

Yesterday I pulled one sticks of memory out of the 1st bay and moved the stick in the 2nd bay over to the 1st and ran Windows memory check which gave no errors. I had no BSODs or reboots the rest of the day. This morning I put the stick I had pulled out yesterday into bay 2. Again, windows memory check gave no errors so I am again running 4 GB of memory and so far today, no crashes. I am not real confident this has fixed anything but am keeping my fingers crossed.

Any additional troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated. Will gladly zip and send any event files that you request.

Download BlueScreenView here: BlueScreenView - View blue screen of death (STOP error) information.

The author has several other freeware utilities at this location. I have no affiliation with him and can't speak knowledgeably about the others but this one works great and he should be commended for making it available at no charge.

Thanks Ken. Sure, I'm hoping I don't get anymore but will definitely zip the minidump to you if I do.

Use BlueScreen View with a bit of discretion, it works on analyzing the BSOD's, but doesn't always agree with what you get from WinDbg.

from WinDbg

I have been analyzing the bsod mini.dump files on 3 different computers and also Debugging the freeze problem on 3 and now testing on a new Computer I just built.

I am getting the same issue with all of them. It is always related to "Vista_Driver_ID" #'s at fault.

And I am still constantly reporting to MS about the bugs.

Hopefully they will fix the Drivers by the time they release to the general public in October 22.
