Many people say Windows 10 will be a worthy successor to Windows 7 and/or 8.1. A lot of people have also said if you're happy with Windows 7 and don't have an overwhelming need for 10's enhancements, don't upgrade. You can catch up on the comments by visiting the Windows 10 sister site here.

As to your comment that Microsoft sent you the 3GB Windows 10 iso, I believe that iso is for the Insider Preview (aka: Preview Build.) The official release date for Windows 10 isn't until July 29 so I don't think Microsoft would be sending out the final version iso yet. Hopefully others will jump in to correct me if I'm wrong. :)
