No more RC :) Running like a dream, 64 bit of course. Anyone know why it won't give me a system rating? If anyone wants anything tested or to see some more screen let me know. Back to installing all my software... anyone know a good free antivirus for x64? AVG is giving me troubles.. won't install properly.

Won't install, tried twice. Did you have to install under any compatibility options? Hmm I'll give it another try. Be nice to get it running, been using it for years.

I have been running AVG Free editions for years, also with out problems.

I installed 8.5 on at least 6 computers so far with win7.

All were standard installs, nothing special.

I think I downloaded my 8.5 from MajorGeeks :geek:

Maybe you need to download a new copy for Free ;)

Yep, had the 8.5 install that would give an error. Just got 9.0 Free and it installed and is updating as we speak. Thanks.

I installed the 64bit retail a few days ago (obtained through the house party thing MS are running). It instaled flawlessly with a clean install. When I was runing RC I had been using Kaspersky which had been ok untill it gave me a false positive which would not go away (I wont go into that now). On the advise of folk on here Im currently running Eset trial edition. Runs ok and no issues on install.

I use Eset AV plus the free Comodo Firewall which work great together and make a good combo for x64 Win 7.

RTM = retail. It's the same thing. I don't see any difference in my screen shot, which is from my RTM copy. Did you perhaps mean "no more RC"?
