Win 7 upgrade problems

Hi, I wiped my Mac pro and reinstalled Win Vista 32 home premium it work fine, I try 2 upgrade to Win 7 but both the 32 and 64 disks just keep getting rejected with no options. Anyone has an idea why ?

Disk rejection

Hi, Well there is nothing can do either clean install or otherwise as both 32 and 64 bit disks just keep being rejected it just spits them out !

I have not seen this problem posted any where so lost for how or where to go from here

Help anyone ?

As richc46 asked; where does it get rejected? How far does it get with the setup and does it show any error messages?

If you're still able to get into your Vista installation, try getting some more information about your computer hardware from a program like CPU-z or SIW, from there you'd have a better idea of where to start looking for a solution.

If you just put it in the drive and then the drive just does not accept it, its probably one of two things, bad DVD or bad Drive. Try another DVD, does the drive work? If so the DVDs must be bad.

You could try going into BIOS set it to start by DVD and not the hard drive, that may be the problem. Give that a try. To get to BIOS you hit an F key, repeatedly during boot, varies by company. Mine a Dell is f12.
