win live mail 2011

Received the new live mail 2011 via a microsoft update today 10-21-10.
What happened to the file/edit/view/actions/help line?

I've poked and clicked everything on the mail screen but am unable
to find it. Especially the 'select all' under the edit was especially
helpful. It's gone. Now to delete mail from the inbox you can no
longer do all the messages at a time, but you must delete one
message at a time. What a pain!

Am I missing something or do I need to go to another mail
program?

yes, they've changed it, just like they did office.

they got rid of the old-style menu-bar (which was hidden in the last version) and replaced it with a twenty-first century ribbon - welcome to the future.

oh, select all is Ctrl-A in most programs.
