Win XP and Win 7 Installation Problem

Hi,
I had Windows XP SP3 (C drive) on my pc, installed Win7, on other partition (drive F) on the same ide drive, now all I can boot into is win7, without any option to boot in win xp. All the files and data is there.

Now if I try to access my files from My Documents (C drive) folder, I get error that I can not access any of it, due to security problems. All I want at this point is to copy my files to Win 7 Partiton.

Please help.

Install EasyBCD and on Add/Remove tab, add your XP drive by name, drive letter and type (XP). See if it boots up.

Thank You for your help, I will try easy bcd. I am not getting any option to log in to xp at all.

Is it your desire to dual boot Xp for awhile, or just to copy the files over?

If problems remain with dual boot, please post a screen shot of the EasyBCD listings and your Disk management map using the Snipping tool on Start>Programs menu, attach files using paper clip in reply box

I just want to transfer my files from My Documents of the old xp installation, and from a few programs. Once I am done, I will delete the old installation of win xp. Now when I boot, computer takes me to Win7, and I try to copy files from other partition on the same drive,(win xp ) it gives me an error, "you do not have permission to access this.....".

If you can help me solve this permission issue, I will be able to copy the needed files. I am able to log in both, win7 and winxp as adminstrator.
