Win XP virtual machine s corrupted -how do I dlete the files (& vhd)?

I have been using a win XP virtual machine OK occasionally for some months and at one point it 'crashed (i.e. stopped responding and could not be woken up). It made me realise that I had done what I needed to do so 'OK, let's delete the thing'. The trouble is, I cannot!

OK the files had a 'SYSTEM' ownership and I have manages to amend one file (as a test) to what I believe is my win7 username. Now when I try to delete, I get a message saying I need permission form myself; this is annoying to say the least.

Any ideas on how to go about this deletion?

Cheers

Yes, but how? Every time I try to delete, I am not allowed to do so.

Or is there another approach entirely that I am missing?

When you say "delete" do you mean Uninstall using the Programs and Features? Or are you just hitting Delete in Explorer? The devil is in the details.

Edit: Did you read the page at the link and try it? I can only know what you post, not what you did.

Strewth, sincere apologies; I did not realise that it was a link! I had already gone the CP route and had not found Windows XP to remove. I now guess I must have missed it as now it was OK and deleted properly, as expected.

Thanks for your patience.
