Hello, I'm Tom from Singapore.
I need your help. I've got 1 computer (wired, win 7 ultimate) and 1 laptop (wireless, win vista) connected to a D-Link 615, I was trying to share file between this two, from Laptop i try to do this \\computer-pc (its successful), but from computer, i try to use \\laptop-pc ( unsuccessful), from both i tried to ping each other also doesn't give any replay from both, I was so curious, I tried the whole day to search any problem with any of this computer but i see no problem at all, both computer has the same antivirus, both computer can connect to the internet, but i'm really curious to see the ipconfig /all in the laptop, there is a lot of media disconnected from microsoft ISATAP adaptor
thank you

Hi and welcome

First I suspect your headache is being caused byusing the homegroup model for networking. homegroup is for win 7 envirnments only. In mixed environments 'workgrooup' mode is both more reliable and easier to configure. to verofy that all you need to do is to create a new network using 'workgroup' model. If the problem is resolved you then can disable IPv6 and kill homegroup.

If that doesnt fix it we could use the iutput from ipconfig /all. use the snipping tool (type snipping in search) to make a screen shot and attach it to the reply form using the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip)

]Good luck and let us know if yoou need help
