When trying to use the Win7 backup program I get error message 0x80780119 becuase the program is looking for a backup image that doesn't exist. It tells me I don't have enough space to make a backup. The drive I wan't to back up (C: Win7 Drive) has only 15GB of data and the K:\ usb drive has 102GB free. The folder K:\WindowsImageBackup is empty. The backup program thinks there is an Image file residing on the K: drive but its not there, therefore it can't be deleted, which precludes me from being able to use the program from making a backup. Is there anyway I can get the win7's backup program to work?

The link goes to the manage space windows but the "view backups" button is greyed out. The "change settings" button brings up the second attachment below. Also, I did do a scan/sfc and all system files are ok.

I THINK this is an answer to my above poblem I found on the net:

"Hi everybody,

I had the exact same error and none of the steps above worked for me.

When you create a system image it also takes the hidden System Reserved partition with it like you may have already noticed.
Then I noticed that partition used like 62MB of 100MB. The error says: partition of less dan 500MB needs 50MB of free space!

So this is the only solution that worked for me:

With partition manager I took about 100MB of my C-drive as space before.
Then I resized the hidden system reserved with the 100MB extra.
Restart PC, let partition manager do the work and you're done!

The System Reserved partition now uses 62MB of 200MB and creating system images works again!"

Can anybody point me to how to "resize the hidden system reserved with the 100MB portion of my C drive"? Remember I'm using a dual boot configuration.

FyrmnJ

looking at the screen capture of your disk management it doesn't look like you have the 100MB sys partition

usually it will show up by your C: drive and it wont have a drive letter assigned to it

For those who may have had this error here is the DEFINITE fix.

w7x64rc backup fails with error code 0x81000019

Its a little too complicated for me so I will have to forgo using the win7 backup until the time comes when I have to do a clean reinstall.
